Welcome to the "finally Eileen Dreyer enters the 21st century" web page...

Well, kids, there's lots of news(I know. If I updated this more frequently, I could ration it out better). First, for Kathleen Korbel fans, I'm delighted to say that DARK SEDUCTION, the second of the Daughters of Myth trilogy is now out. Better, the third book, DEADLY REDEMPTION, will be out in September '08. Check the Kathleen page for specifics.

Second, thank you to everyone who bought THE UNFORTUNATE MISS FORTUNES this summer. Because of you, I made it to the New York Times Bestseller list for the first time(I've been close, but you know what they say about hand grenades and best seller lists). Thank you!

Another big piece of news is that I am venturing into new territory. In 2010, I will publish a Regency adventure romantic trilogy for Grand Central Books. Yeah, historic romance. Who knew? I'm still not sure which evil twin will write it(suggestions are welcome), but whoever it is, she's having a heck of a time writing. Stay tuned, and check the blog for updates.

As for Eileen and her suspenses, the news isn't as good. I have to change publishers, which means I have to write the next book on spec (without a contract). So it will take longer than I'd like. I'm researching it even as I wage the battle of Waterloo in my other books, and I have to tell you, it's really cool stuff.

Look on the research page for the powerpoint presentation I gave at RWA last summer on His Brain\Her Brain, the biological difference between men's and women's thinking. It's really fun. I'm giving it again this summer at RWA in San Francisco.

For those interested in travel, I'm doing some updates on my Travel page including more thorough reflections on each place I've traveled, and new recommendations for Alaska and Prague.

Stop by, sign up. I won't have an official "this is a big prize" contest til this summer, but you never know when I'll just pick a lucky name and send something fun. And as ever, I love to hear from you: questions, complaints, topics for discussion. Stop by any time.

The reviews are coming in on THE UNFORTUNATE MISS FORTUNES:

RT: 4 1/2 stars

FALLEN ANGELS: REVIEWS: "I was mesmerized by this book from the word go...the best print book that I have read in a long time."

TRASHIONISTAS: "A book to snuggle up with and lose yourself in."

FRESH FICTION: "THE UNFORTUNATE MISS FORTUNES by Jennifer Crusie, Eileen Dreyer and Anne Stuart is a laugh-out-loud, super-sexy paranormal romance. Dee, Lizzie and Mare are fabulous characters, wonderfully amusing and emotionally vulnerable, with a thread of steel running through them, holding them together for a common cause."
